About us

Our vision

Afrocentricles envisions a world where young people of African descent in the UK and beyond are empowered with knowledge, cultural pride, and leadership skills to shape a future rooted in self-determination, excellence, and community upliftment. We aim to nurture confident, socially conscious, and innovative leaders who honor African heritage while driving positive change in their societies.

Governance and history

Afrocentricles operates with a community-based governance model to ensure youth leadership, inclusivity, and accountability. Afrocentricles is governed by a board of trustees and run by Afrocentricles management committee. Our roots stretch back to 2020 during the unfortunate COVID pandemic that had a devastating effect on the Black race and our purpose has always been to promote afrocentric values and provide access to African heritage, culture and adventure
